Larkrail

Larkrail didn't take place in 2018 or 2019, apologies to everyone who was set to participate and visit and who has otherwise missed the event..

We "went out with a bang" in 2017, raising the magnificent total of £750.00 for the Julian House charity.

Thank you very much to everybody who contributed in all ways over the years, not least Lesley, Dave, Tim and everyone else who helped in the kitchen.

We hope to make a re appearance in 2021, a 2020 reapperance having been sadly scuppered by Coronavirus. The estimable Roger Swan had even penned a new poem for the show's return!

A first class return to Larkhall

For the finest miscellany of all

There's trains of all gauges

And books thru the ages

In that Shop down the 'ill from the 'all

Oh! We've waited a couple of years

For the show to return, so three cheers!

There'll bea tea and some cake

And make no mistake

In the pub later on... a few beers

Back in 2016 Roger Swan wrote us his first poem:

At The Larkrail Train Show

Let us not speak for the love

we share for these trainsets:

Let us drink Tea and look.

She, checking watch: eating cake

Tapping foot:

He, acquiring another Railway Book.

And both, Puzzled for a moment,

In this Larkhall Inglenook
