Who organises Camrail?

Simon Castens organises "Camrail", setting up the first show in 1996 within the confines of Limpley Stoke Station, just along the valley from Bradford on Avon.

The show was set up and is still run for pleasure, being an attempt to stage an entertaining and enjoyable event for both visitors and participants. The exhibits shown are more varied than one might perhaps find at a "typical" model railway show.

Any profits which it might produce go to the "Railway Children" charity.

Apart from organising this show, Simon is a part time librarian in addition to being proprietor of the "Titfield Thunderbolt" bookshop. This is based at the old Limpley Stoke station near Bath, the junction of the branch line upon which the film of the same name was made in the summer of 1952.
