Aster Hobby Andrew Pullen's very informative UK site for Aster, a Japanese manufacturer of beautiful live steam models in 1/32nd scale, but with "normal" wheel standards. Andrew is much more than an importer, a keen advocate of the further development of Gauge 1 on all fronts, he has been instrumental in the development of several recent Aster models, including the current mouth watering Bulleid Pacific.

David Leech builder of rather nice 1/32nd coaches, residing in Canada but builds and ships British prototypes including Bulleids and Pullmans. Is just developing a BR Mk 1 coach model.

G1MRAThe established association for "Gauge One" and containing members with a wealth of experience. Predominantly consists of steam builders, collectors and operators but includes some railway modellers too. It historically "fudged" the distinction between 1/32nd and 10mm but is getting better on this and similar points and is definitely worth joining. G1MRA maintains a very good "social scene" of running on members layouts, although there are very few (one only?) "finescale" garden layouts yet, so let's get building.....

The Gauge 1 Model Railway Co Trevor Taylor has recently sold his "Signal Box" business in order to develop a range of detailed ready to run 1/32 locomotives and rolling stock. First projects are a Standard 4MT tank in live steam and a BR standard 16T mineral wagon. This has an injection moulded body and diecast chassis. Well priced, dimensionally accurate and robust, the model does have some flaws which have prevented me from purchasing one so far. Will be very popular in "mainstream" G1 circles.

Mercian Models Trevor Cousens ever-active Midlands manufactory, builders of etched brass kits, hitherto mainly 10mm but with more and more of their range now being made available in 1/32nd scale. The new China clay wagon is now available, highly detailed and exclusively to 1/32 scale.

Peco Although they produce a range of G1 track, it will unfortunately not work with G1F or ScaleOne 32, owing to using a gauge of 44.45mm and flange clearances. Their code 143 flatbottom is perfect for building light railway and industrial trackwork though. Other items from their range of "individulay" track components could probably also be used or adapted.
