Stock:
I keep all of the items listed in stock, and any out of stock items are obtainable within the week in most cases.
Payment:
Please see details below, all cheques to be payable to "The Titfield Thunderbolt".

Postage:
Within the UK, since the recent Royal Mail price increaes my standard charge now needs to be 20%. However, should the actual cost of packing and posting your order prove to be significantly lower than this, then I will refund the excess in stamps. In any event my maximum charge for posting and packaging any single order remains at £7.00.

Overseas, I charge postage at cost, and in my experience printed papers airmail is the most affordable quick service. Surface mail is cheaper but takes about 6 weeks to the States.
Rather than me listing weights of items and asking you to do the work, e-mail me for a quote for postage on items. If you are paying by credit or debit card (best method from overseas), then I will add the postage cost to your order value.

Payment Methods:
I can accept payment by a cheque drawn on a UK bank, or by any of the following cards; Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch, Solo and JCB. International electronic transfers in Sterling using IBAN and BIC numbers are also accepable, contact me for details.

I can still accept payments by Paypal but would prefer payment by card as above. Please do not send cash in the post.

If paying by card then I suggest that you split the number between two or more e-mail messages for security. Alternatively write or telephone me with your card details. The phone is usually manned during normal office hours.

If you have any queries, then please do not hesitate to contact me.

I pack extremely securely and have not had any books returned to me damaged since I started trading, which is now over 16 years ago.

We try to only stock books which we feel are worth owning. In our view, the criterion for judgement of a book's being "worth owning" will be a combination of some or all of the following; quality of reproduction of photographs, print quality, originality of concept, quality of research undertaken by author, sources of information, obscurity of subject, quality of writing, humanity of author, artistic ability of designer, and yes but probably last on the list - price.
