Desmond Coakham [Publisher: Ian Allan 2007] Softback 96 pages
A well written account of the story of rolling stock development on the Irish narrow gauge, which also gives an good overview of how the various lines each developed and inter related. There are a few scale drawings, but the strength of this book is in the very good photographic coverage of the subject. This is a very useful inspiration and source of material for narrow gauge and light railway modelling of any Irish or British subject, both passenger and goods.
Donal Murray [Publisher: Colourpoint 2004] Softback 112 pages
An interesting look at the rail transport network around Dublin, which from the 1980s has seen considerable investment and rolling back of previous closures. Although the accent is on the present day and future operations, the whole area is well described and illustrated in its historical context, with good coverage of the rolling stock used over the years and a good description and illustration of Inchicore Works.
